Hello! My name is Tom and I am a 20-year-old computer science student living in Austria 🇦🇹! I wanted a space to share my interests, connect with others, and most importantly, be myself. I've been making websites since I was 8 years old, and I've always enjoyed the process of writing HTML and CSS and watching my website come together. Unfortunately, most of that has been replaced by AI these days. I hardly see anyone actually writing HTML and CSS by hand anymore, since AI can do it in a matter of seconds. In addition, I'm seeing many jobs switch to AI tools for web development, which makes me feel a bit obselete. Amidst all this, I still find joy in the creative process of building something from scratch, hence why I built this site.

I want to remind people that there's still value in learning programming and web development, even as AI becomes more prevalent. Watching platforms like neocities gain more traction makes me happy, as it shows people still value the art of building things themselves and making their own unique corners of the web.
